Stockholm Gospel

In August 2010 hundreds of choirs from all over the world will gather in the beautiful city of Stockholm for the first ever Stockholm International Gospel Choir Festival. Music is an excellent way to tear down walls and build bridges between people and cultures. Join us with your choir or ensemble and be a part of our 1500+ voice choir.

Preliminary Schedule

Thursday

13.00 - 15.00  Registrarion, welcome and rehearsal

16.00 - 17.30  Your choice of workshop: Master class or Choir

18.00 - 18.30  Gospel Wandering. We take gospel music to the streets of Stockholm along with quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr.

20.00 - 22.00  Europe Concert* Choirs from other European countries perform.

Friday

  9.30 - 11.30  Rehearsal

13.30 - 16.00  Your choice of workshop: Master class or Choir

17.00 - 17.30  Free open-air concert with Mass Choir. We usually have about 4000 people in the audience.

20.00 - 22.00  Special Guest Concert*  To be announced. You won't be disappointed!

Saturday

  9.30 - 11.30  Rehearsal

13.30 - 15.00  Gospel Church Service. Gospel in church - it doesn't get much better than this!

15.45 - 18.15  Your choice of workshop: Master class or Choir

20.00 - 22.00  Final Concert**  Featuring the Mass Choir, ensembles and special guests

Sunday

  9.30 - 10.30  Gospel Church Service

13.30 - 15.00  Outdoor concerts with a venue for every choir that wants to perform

* You'll need a ticket, but festival participants receive a discount
