School Visits
Presently, Stockholm Gospel has great focus on activities with and for the youth. The organization holds school visits in Sweden with the purpose of meeting young people through gospel. We talk about Martin Luther King, discuss civil rights and promote gospel through singing music together.
Keep The Dream Alive
Stockholm Gospel has recently celebrated the 2010 “Keep The Dream Alive” Youth Festival for the second consecutive year.
After last year's success, this year's Youth Festival took place from August 9 to 12, with numerous activities organized in different parts of the city, such as performances in the popular Sergel Square and a final Gospel Goes Young concert at Filadelfia Church.
We now use "Keep The Dream Alive" as a theme for all our youth activities.
A Tribute to Martin Luther King
Also yearly, Stockhom Gospel arranges A Tribute to Martin Luther King, a concert held by youth choirs from different schools. This year's Tribute counted on the participation of Walter Owens from Chicago and the Stockholm based Tensta Gospel Choir.
The coming Tribute will be held in February 2011 in co-operation with the Embassy of the United States in Stockholm, during the celebration of the "Black History Month."
